Home Interior Design
Interior designers put a lot of effort into their creative projects, and it is almost magical how they are able to pull a room together, making it look fabulous and functional at the same time. However, it’s not within everyone’s budget to hire an interior designer who can guide them in their design decisions. On the other hand, some have the curiosity to do their inter design themselves using their own individual style.
The first and the most important thing you should be concerned about is the color scheme. As a general rule, pick light colors for small rooms and darker shades for larger rooms. In addition, you can use three different shade; one for the main wall, second for items such as chair and third color that pops in smaller accessories.
For the perfect color implementation, you can use the 50/150 rule. Here, you mix one batch of 50% lighter than the base and another 150% darker. Another clever way to brighten up places like kitchen, which have cabinets from floor to ceiling is to color the ceiling. Coloring it with a paler paint will give it a brighter look.
Creative use of mirrors can make your interior look attractive yet cozy. Avoid over usage of mirror. Large sheets are usually for commercial usage, so using a sectioned pattern would be better option. When it comes to using patterns, follow a simple trick of using more. This will create a symmetry which is comforting to the eye as well.
Another important thing in home interior design is to strategically use the space and make sure that windows are not blocked by your furniture. For example, if you have to place the bed against the windowsill, choose a headboard that lets light in.
At the end, pay attention to small details. Adding floral arrangements, using plants or placing decorative rocks in the room can really add that final touch to your interior design. Avoid fake flowers and invest your money into easy-care plants. If you want to go for an edgy look, use feathers in a vase for the perfect finishing touch.
